Program Assistants are members of OSC's STARSkate programs who help teach our younger skaters in the Preschool CanSkate and CanSkate programs. P.A.'s can be seen with their red fleece jackets on our recreational sessions under the direction of our professional coaches.
Skaters have the opportunity to complete their community service hours for their high school curriculum or earn a bursary as Program Assistants. The bursary is awarded at the end of the season and may be used for coaching fees, OSC merchandise or registration fees.
All P.A.’s must attend our Training and Orientation session, September 25 from 9am to Noon. To qualify to assist as a P.A., skaters must be 11 years old and STARSkate III level, or have assisted as a P.A. in previous years.
