Program Assistants
Trained Program Assistants offer instruction assistants on the ice during Learn to Skate Programs. They are easily identified on the ice in their bright red fleeces. Program Assistants have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and assist in the skill development of young skaters. Skaters have the opportunity to complete their 40 community service hours for their high school curriculum or earn a bursary as Program Assistants (PA’s) in our Learn to Skate Programs. The bursary is awarded at the end of the season and may only be used for OSC merchandise or registration fees. The bursary cannot be exchanged for cash value at any time. PA’s receive $5.00 per hour towards their bursary or credit for volunteer hours. For more information please call the Club office for additional information. Program Assistant registration forms are available on the Forms page.
